I am absolutely not the person who should be in charge of music in a group setting. I have this uncanny ability to make the car go silent, no head nodding either. . I don’t mean to, I just have bad crowd-pleasing instincts and a very specific palette. 

To cope, I’ve started making playlists like “driving with other people” and “chilling with other people” so i can pander to people with more acceptable taste. But to spare you the misery of enjoying my niche curation, I’ve asked actual pop stars Coco & Clair Clair to take the wheel and curate the official OGBFF Holiday Season Mix.

I’ve been a Coco & Clair Clair fan since 2019. These girls have been resonating with my spirit. I actually started listening to their music when I was trying to be in my music producer era. So I was like on Ableton making dumb asf beats and trying to emulate their effortlessly cool vibe. The music wasn’t a similar style, but I always just admired the levity their music had.. it sounded so natural and cool, like two friends goofing off but then actually making something amazing. It goes without saying that my music SUCKED, and I gave up. SORRY FOR BEING INSPIRED. In my defense though, I did end up making one song that’s actually kind of decent, but I made it with a guy that I ended up liking and then it didn’t go anywhere, so that song is now lost in failed romance purgatory. But maybe one day his frontal lobe will develop and he’ll court me properly and we’ll finish the song and fall in love or whatever…

Anyway, if you’re hosting a holiday party, put on this playlist to impress everyone and say “thank you coco & Clair Clair”.
