My 10 Favorite Cheap Luxuries

My 10 Favorite Cheap Luxuries

1. Going on a really long walk and eventually stumbling across a liquor store you’ve never walked into. From there, the best thing to do is buy a glass bottle of sparkling water. You can keep the bottle forever and ever. Bonus points if the bottle matches your outfit.

2. Finding a good, cheap drugstore nail polish. Since you own it, when it starts to chip, you can layer the polish over and over until the bottle runs out.

3. Flip flops.

4. Buying a singular lottery ticket when you have a streak of good luck.

5. Reading in the park. Yes, this one is obvious, but you can also do what you would normally do at home, like accumulating many hours of screen time on your phone, only now it feels productive because you're outside. My favorite place to do this is at the Silverlake Meadows, because it’s full of people doing the same thing.

6. Going to thrift stores as often as you can until you find a digital camera to unnecessarily document every aspect of your life. I got mine for $7 at the thrift store I used to work at in my college town.

7. Going on a Hinge date for free dinner or drinks, or both. Sometimes they even let you take home the leftovers…

8. Filming yourself on the TikTok app. I love you, beauty filter.

9. Pretending.

10. People watching at a sceney grocery store and only leaving with one thing.
